History, rest, connection with the land, recreation, harmony...
Ancient Indigenous Settlement and Archeological Museum
Enjoy the experience of touring this old Tayrona settlement accompanied by a local guide who will enlighten you about the life of this ancient civilization while walking along the cobbled paths and authentic terraces, places where this indigenous community traveled and lived. The route also shows an "indigenous Maria house", a ceremonial place of the Kogui, direct descendants of the Tayrona.
At the end of the tour, you enter the “Francisco Ospina Navia” museum, which has more than 300 authentic Tairona archaeological pieces, which illustrate the great godliness of this civilization.
Taironaka:
Indigenous Experiences
Interaction with the indigenous people allows us to learn something about their way of life. With their spiritual wealth, the Kogis carry out, from their cosmogony, ceremonies such as: baptisms, weddings, spiritual cleansings and insurances.
"Mochilas" weaving workshops are also held, let's speak Kogi, sharing life. By participating in these experiences, support is provided to these communities that do not know our economy.
Birdwatching
The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is characterized by having more than 700 species of birds, many of which are found on the route in Taironaka.
Toucans, jays, hummingbirds, blackbirds, woodpeckers and many more can be observed with the company of an indigenous Kogui guide, at an additional cost.
