ARTISAN NIGHT FISHING

This tour starts at the Taironaka Ecological Reserve or at the parking lot at Don Diego River, where you will board a boat heading to the mouth of the river. During the journey you will be able to observe the fauna and flora of the region, in particular howler monkeys, migratory and local birds, 30-40 meters high trees, until you reach the junction of the Don Diego River and the Caribbean Sea.

At this point, the artisanal night fishing task begins, which consists of preparing a reel with nylon wrapped around it, hook and sinker. The expert staff will explain to clients how to place the bait and also how to throw the nylon into the water. They will be taught to fish with a rod, cast net, manta as well as to differentiate the type of fish caught. Some of the fish will be prepared and consumed on the beach with supplies (plantain, banana, cassava, yam from the region). While waiting for the preparation, you will be able to listen to stories of the region around a good campfire, also walk and observe crabs, nocturnal birds, squibs, flowers.

Once the experience ends, the return will take please by boat to the starting point.
